I had the great copportunity to be a guest designer at Moore College, they very school I showed my portfolio at many moon ago when applying to art school! They students were receptive and engaged — thank you for being a great group!
Hey, something is different here...it's Brittish Adobe!
It has been a little while since I've taught a class on a creative subject, so I was psyched when University City Arts League asked me to sub for the first class of "Design Lab: Promoting Your Work With Visual Materials".
Even though this wasn't going to be MY class beyond this one time deal of subbing, I loved learning the students' unique driving forces behind taking the class. Varying from Baby Boomer age to Millenial, all of the students were sharp women wanting to learn enough Adobe Creative Suite to be dangerous.
We talked, I presented a branding project I've been working on, they dove into PS, AI and ID for the first times...and I talked a whole lot more! All of the students thanked me at the class: what more could I ask for?
Teaching someone a creative skill is also helping to empower them in a way that they hadn't imagined before, which is insanely rewarding to me. With that in mind, I'm just gonna put this out there — if anyone reading this is interested in private lessons or wishes to form a design class for a group, get at me! I will always find the time and energy to skill share with folks because that is passion and passion is love and love is what makes the world go 'round!
I'm really digging my time here. They take excellent care of their staff!
Hello, glorious 2015!
It sure seems like a good time to make a new website! I do love a good rebrand.
